how it looked then with flat bars..
now fitted 400C high bars..
ive just bought a tidy 250 to pinch all the standard parts off to put on the 400
all i need now is a pattern rear guard which il buy when funds allow, the one on the 250 is pants. |

dya know sumthin hazey, youre right, too many stock ones around, besides ive got my stock 350B , so yeah sod it im gonna keep this one as a period special, im gonna paint it (cant do with someone elses poaintwork on my bikes) and defo cant stand those tank decals so high!,
what im gonna do is what i did to my red rd400d in 1978, colour coded TZ type front mudguard, cut down rear mudguard also colour coded, few other trick period mods too. dunno what colour to paint it tho. |

I think the front muddy goes well with the cut down rear, but I don't think the high bars look too great with the spannies. Just my opinion of course but it looks like a racer trying to be a tourer !!!! Ditch the bars and do it right

the mudguard that came with the bike looks the best[imo] beckys bike was my fav bike on this forum, but its now yours Tone, so 'make it your own' but i would either keep it yellow, or paint it black |

There's not enough red ones in my opinion. I'm biased of course. The high bars look good.
