I have used Keyster float valves and found them to be excelent quality. However I opted for genuine Mikuni jets and needles, some from motocarb and some from NRP. Just google both. Motocarb has complete referbished carbs at good prices.

Most of the parts in my keyster kits for my 350LC ended up in the bin because they were a mixture of 250 and 350, LC and YPVS parts.
The fully restored engine would have run like a diesel engine if at all, if these kits had been fitted.
I fitted genuine parts instead.

I'm quite sure there are people out there with nothing but good words to say about them. Maybe it's a "luck" thing. I can only go by my own experience, I re-built some carbs off an old H*nda twin a couple of years ago. I started off on factory settings (as you do) and it ran like.....well, like something that needed tha carbs re-building! . No ammount of twiddling seemed to have any effect. It wasn't until I started removing the Keyster bits one by one it started improving. Each bit removed rewarded with a better running engine. In the end the only thing I ended up using were the throttle stop thingies*. Don't even get me started on the state of the float bowl gaskets. I now know what David Blunkett MP (retired) does to supplement his pension!. I ended up cutting them to a reasonable facsimile of the correct shape using a scalpel. A similar experience to a previous poster, apart from all my useless bits ended up in an Utterly Butterly carton. Genuine parts next time for me.

I think Mr Blunkett selects the parts for each kit from a giant tombola just to make sure that he doesn't accidentally add the correct parts to any kit.
