Thats interesting, another member is restoring a RD400 frame/engine nmber 1A3 000008.

my engine and frame number are 351-602

this puts me in this range

i see rd 350B's were also made in 73 too.
is this correct?

i thought the rule of thumb was 1973 rd350, 1974 rd 350A 1975 rd350B

anyone care to shed any light on this?

i suspect its 1a2 433   makes it 250F - 2r8 part nos

Strange, my bike has the number: 351 508069. Since 1974 in the Netherlands. Its not in the list..... !? Is the list not complete? Build in 1973?

Hi i am bit new to all this i have just got a 250(RD) which is very stock as cast wheels & points fitted does aay one no which model it is,its red in colour.

not to sure if ive got this correct but looking at the chart my Frame number is 1A2-4313**
Engine 1A2-2022**
so have i got an RD250E frame with a 1976 engine?
just to complicate it,its got a 350 top end
