All the information here was given to the Club by Dave at Yambits. Thanks Dave.

All the information was taken from a Yamaha 1992 Information catalogue.

Notes.........

1. All Yamaha's were produced with matching frame and engine numbers.

2. Production models sold to public start at 101 (see list). Any numbers below 100 were pre-production test bikes and normally destroyed by Yamaha after use.

More below. PM for any region/country detail

Interesting... My bike has the frame number 1A2 000006. If your informations are proper, then it should be one of the remaining preproduction bikes.

my engine and frame number are 351-602

this puts me in this range

351-600101-700000     413     RD350     year of make 73

i see rd 350B's were also made in 73 too.
is this correct?

i thought the rule of thumb was 1973 rd350, 1974 rd 350A 1975 rd350B

anyone care to shed any light on this?

Now I am really confused - doesn't take much tbh

Yamaha tell me that my 1980 registered 1A2 0433*** is a 2W3 model E, but this list suggests a 2R8 model F. Levers have long since been swapped so the dogleg difference doesn't help. Any final answers?

By the way, Hi!

This is what is stamped on the frame. I guess there isn't much difference between an E and F anyway.

I do suspect there is one or two holes in the lists. I've been asked about frames with numbers that don't tally with the lists shown here.

I just put up the infor that was supplied to me.
